alt-prtsc usage

Have you got the "Pass special keys directly to server" option enabled in
your VNC Viewer's Input options?

Is it possible to send an alt-prtsc to the VNC server to capture the 
"active" screen into the server's capture buffer?
Currently, an alt-prtsc captures the "full" vnc session window into the 
viewer's capture buffer.

I have tried to toggle the alt key on and send a prtsc key and an 
alt-prtsc key.  Neither gives me the results as if the alt-prtsc was 
issued from the keyboard of the server system
