Real quick.
I have a router, I have the port forwarding set for my range to direct to
the pc in question and I can not connect. Gotomyvnc.com also recognizes no
open ports, so I assumed
my port forwarding isn't working.
Now, the curveball is this. I have two computers in my house (here to known
as c1 and c2). C1 is my main machine. C2 is the family machine.
I telneted to C1 (from itself) and the appropriate port so I know the
server is listening (I assume), I tried to connect to C1 from C2 with no dice.
However... I have no problem connecting to C2 from C1 - which incidentally
only makes me crave producing a function vpn even more.
Any thoughts on why I can connect in LAN from one computer to the other but
not vice versa?
Am I having server issues or router issues with regards to gotomyvnc.com,
and what should I see if I were to telnet to the aforementioned port my
server is listening on?
Thanks in advance.
