the comma indicates multiple ip addresses. use one or the other. since I
suspect you are trying to connect across the internet, I would recommend
the 66.140.92.18 address as the other one is a non-routable internal
address.
the vnc listening viewer option would require you to have tcp port 5500
unblocked on any firewalls you may have and redirected at the router
level if you are behind a nat router.
hope that helps

How do I get my moms computer to connect to me?
My mom is 67 and she just isnt catching on I need to
show her how to do things like view attachments and
such. I swear its like trying to land a 747 over the
phone.
She is on a dial up connection. I tried to have her
run a service.
Her numbers at the time were 192.168.59.6,66.140.92.18
Do I need to type it in differently? Do I need a space
somewhere?
192period168period59period6comma66period140period92period18
All I got was an error message of
unable to resolve host by name: no such host is known
(11001)
So that didnt work.
Then I tried running my viewer in listening mode and
had her use my external IP address.
And that didnt work.
I can use the viewer listening mode between my LAN
computers and using my LAN IP numbers it works.
Its probably something that I need to change on my
firewall for my inbound connections but I dont
understand what I was doing wrong when trying to
connect to her server.
Thanks everybody
Buddy
