Not able to connect on Remote Linux m/c from Windows XP m/c

Hi John,
thanks for the reply.

Well, the problem is not with the windows firewall.  Tell me, do we
need to set any access rights at the server side (the Linux machine)
for the viewer machine.  And one more thing, how do we specify the
remote machine, means, is it in the form
ipaddress:port, eg., 210.216.56.76:0 or any other way?
