java viewer on works internally

Hi, I cant seem to get the java viewer to work when
trying to come in from my external IP. I have port
5800 forwarded at the router lever to proper IP. It
get my java applet to begin but after 30 secs or so I
get the red "X" on top left of applet.

then the status bar (bottom left corner...) reads

"applet vncviewer /VNCViewer notinited

Everything is fine when I use an internal IP from
within my network.

FYI... I have Zone Alarm running but have turned off
but have noticed that zone alarm has some issues
untilled you uninstall then config. and reinstall.
