Newbie question

I have a bunch of linux clients.
The linux clients run x0rfbserver.sh.
All the linux clients have dynamic IP's. 

I use the vnc viewer on my windows xp machine to
connect to these machnines.

Everytime when i want to connect to these linux
clients from the xp machine, i have to give the ip
address. If i give the machine name, it doesn't
connect.All the linux clients run samba server on 'em.
The windows xp machine uses WINS and not dns.

How do i tackle this situation ?
