I didn't think they would have any way of knowing how many IPs the LAN side had, as long as the PPPoE connection was to a single WAN IP. The address translation is just done using ports, isn't it?

And in case they were looking, I've changed the password on the router/modem's admin account. But you see why I'm asking all this!
