Hello,

After having used vnc4 on Solaris 8, Linux(Redhat 7.3
mostly), we decided to use the Xvnc that comes with FC2 that is installed
on our AMD64 boxes. I believe the version that comes std. is 4.04beta

We are seeing from the "connection info" menu on the vncviewer that we max
out at about 200/300 Kbps, while we were able to get 1.5Mbps(this is
available b/w) before.

I installed 4.0 from realvnc.com and things seemed to have improved a lot.
I can now get 1.5mbps.

But even with 4.0 when i used thunderbird(the application has a blinking
cursor), I seem to max about at 350kbps.

Any ideas why this might be happening ?

Thanks.
