I am trying to install Xvnc on a Linux box (Release 9) and I am having
problems with XFree86. I check to see if it was running and nothing.
So I downloaded a copy and went to install it and it said that there was
already a version installed. So I tried to start XFree86 and nothing.
Can someone please tell me what to do? I have read quite a bit on
XFree86 and what I think I read is XFree86 is included in the install of
Release 9. This is a dedicated server that I rent from a company and
they haven't gotten back to me. I am trying to set up a system like
gotomypc.com or logmein.com. Can someone also help me with that, as far
as how to set up the Xvnc.

Sorry about all the questions, I am new to all of this. I have one last
question, I am installing Xvnc on my Linux box and the customers will
connect to the Linux box with a reverse connection (Customer to Linux
box, not Linux box to Customer). How do the technicians make the
connection to the Linux box with the Java plug-in for their web browser?
I have seen http://computername:Port <http://computername:Port/> but I
don't think this will work over the internet. Can someone help? Thanks
everyone in advance.

Best Regards,
