Have you tried double-clicking on the icon and clicking on the checkbox
"accept socket connections"? Silly question but that's what it sounds like
the issue is.

Subject: Unable to connect to VNC
Hi I am still having trouble connecting to a VNC server. The error
message is 'Invalid Protocol' and when hovering over the VNC icon
there is the message 'Not accepting connections' where you would
normally have the IP address.
The system was working and I have tried everything I can think of
to re-establish the connection to no avail.
I notice there are hundreds of refferencies to this problem on the
VNC web site but as far as I can tell there are no solutions.
Does anyone know the answer?
