red hat install problems

I installed the vnc-4.0-1.i386.rpm

I verified it installed both with RPM and buy checking the files and /usr/bin/Xvnc is there.

I can run vncserver and it creates the .vnc directory and the .log, .pid, passwd and xstartup
files.

the log shows it is starting and listening on the standard ports.

I modified /etc/services to include a line for Xvnc on each port 5900-5901 and 5800-5801

But I still can't access it from outside.

What can I check next?
