RealVNC in SafeMode With Network Support?

   I  know I've attached to an XP Pro machine, running in "Safe Mode with
   Network   Support"   from  my  Win2K  machine;  both  running  RealVNC
   (vnc-3.3.6-x86)  and  it  was  a  blessing  as  I had to do some viral
   cleanup in Safe Mode, remotely.

   Now,  however,  I see that if I try the same thing where the remote PC
   is  a  W2K machine, again, in Safe Mode w/Networking Support, the user
   says  they  see  the  screen  "kinda flash" and that's it, and I can't
   connect.

   Am  I  missing something here? Is there a setting or reghack or...????
   that  will  allow a connection with a remote W2K machine in SMWNS as I
   did with an XP Pro machine?
