Hi,
[sorry for resend: Not sure if subscription activated in time on 1st try]
I've been using TightVNC 1.2.9 until recently installing and switching to
RealVNC 4 on a winnt4 box. The vnc-specific sound event no longer seems to
be used:
(Sound_Properties --> VNCviewer --> Bell)
Instead the windows beep event is now used:
(Sound_Properties --> Windows --> Default_Beep)
I'm wondering if this is a quirk peculiar to WinNT or maybe some other issue.
It was nice to be able to distinguish the windows system beep from the vnc
beep which I make use of alot. I even tried re-installing tightvnc to see if
the vncviewer bell functionality would be restored, but no joy.
(I didn't see anything similar to this in the mailing list archives)
Thanks
-Wayne
