Patrick,

The project you're referring to is the OSXvnc project, which is based on our
VNC Free Edition codebase.  You should find links on their SourceForge page
that will allow you to notify the authors of the bug in their software.

You may also wish to try switching your VNC Viewer to only use protocol
version 3.3 (please see the VNC Viewer documentation for details), which is
an option provided to allow compatibility with broken servers.  If the bug
in OSXvnc is just to do with reporting the version number then this should
allow you to connect to the server, albeit with more limited functionality.

We do have a standard VNC Server for Mac OS X in development but I'm afraid
I don't have any details on that at present.
