Display problem (VNC viewer on WinXP - VNC server on RedHat Linux 9.0)

Hello,

I've been trying to display the desktop of RedHat Linux 9.0
machine on the Windows XP machine.  I can successfully
connect from the VNC viewer on the Windows XP machine to the
VNC server on the Linux machine, however, the display
doesn't seem to work well.  What I can see on the display of
the Windows machine is only a terminal window of the Linux
machine.  Any icons on the desktop or directory windows are
not displayed at all.

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.
