Yes, a 16-bit limited true colour setting would make sense for these sorts
of situations, I think, and mostly just requires some user-interface
tweaking to support, so we'll look into providing that.
Which version of VNC server are you using, by the way? The more recent VNC
servers have better 256-colour support than the older ones, typically
resulting in more convincing colours.
