Help am using the latest version of vnc. My viewer windo fills with 100s of windows each time i log onto another machine

Both laptops are runing windows XP however when I log onto the other
laptop i get a conection and see the remote desk top but i get hudreds
of copys of it and am unabe to do anthing productive.
