Message:The connection closed unexpectedly

Hi fellas,
          I am new to this VNC thing. I am using windos XP machine that is 
connected through a wireless router DLinks to share the internet between 
this XP and my laptop (XP). When I am trying to conncet my server  which is 
my home PC via WAN/LAN after port forwarding and all I am getting the 
message " The connection closed unexpectedly". Is there any VNC geneous who 
can help me in this regard?
