Thank you for the information. I have passed this on to our network maven.
We are looking at Net2Printer but would prefer a more direct approach.

It is not possible with most vnc-implementations.
Most current OSes have features to print over the same network as the one
using. Hence use that.

If you have shared the printer connected to the desktop, you must also be
to see your desktop from the server and the printer down there to use it.
As said, most vnc-implementations don't provide printer fascilities.
