"server closed connection unexpectedly"

I have searched through the mailing list and none of the options about this
error seem to fit my situation.

I have installed the VNC server on Win2k Professional. The client is
connecting via WinXP Home. I always got the message when using the default
5900 port. Then when I reset the server to use 5901 as the port, if I
connect from the client using the string "192.168.0.3:5901", it gives a the
same error, but using "192.168.0.3" without a port gives a different error,
"unable to connect to host: Connection refused (10061)" Any ideas on what
the problem might be? I've tried uninstalling everything on the server side
and reinstalling, but no luck.

Thanks in advance.
