VNC viewer to proxy tunnel to shorewall router to proxy tunnel server to VNC server

Okay, I have a wierd situation.  I must use httport->htthost to do anything
TCP related from work.  My current configuration is

RealVNC viewer -> httport -> shorewall linux router -> htthost ->  RealVNC
server.  The VNC server is running on a WinXP Pro machine as a service.  The
htthost (tunnel server) is on the same computer as the RealVNC server.  I
know the tunnel works because I can use FlashFXP and my MSN Messenger works.
However when I try to use the VNC viewer, I get "Server Closed
Unexpectedly".  Does anyone know how to fix this?
