Vius protection flame war?

All,

     I din't mean to get everyone riled up about virus protection.  I
won't even weigh in on where or when I use it.

The only point I was trying to alert the group to is that this product
choose to install a firewall within an anti virus product .

I just wanted to make people aware as the person I was helping didn't
realize this either when installing it.

P.S.  I lied
At home I use  Hardware firewall, Agentium Outpost firewall (to block
applications from going out)  I read my email via web, I only use
Firefox.  My Storage files are backed up (don't care about the OS, I
can reinstall it.
I have never gotten a virus at home and for me the CPU time taken by a
virus scanner is wasted.

At work I run whatever virus protection is mandated as I understand
that I do not control all the possible vectors and the risk isn't mine
to take
