VNC on fedora core 2

ok i have a server which is running fedora core 2. i have VNC server running 
and i can do:

vncviewer 127.0.0.1:1

and it connects fine..
but when i try and do it from my other machine (sitting next to it but 
accessed over the network) in windows XP using VNC 4. i enter the ip address 
as:

10.0.11.101:1

the machine addy is: 10.0.11.101 and that is definetly right as this machine 
is also a backup webserver and that addy works.

and it says "unable to connect to host: Connection timed out (10060)"

any help???  i also get this error in the log file:

could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/, removing 
from list

"
