Core 2 to Core 2 VNC connection problem

Hello, 

I'm having a connection problem with Fedora Core 2 (FC2) and VNC,
version 4.0-5.

I can establish a connection to all the FC2 boxes on my intranet, but
the displayed content is just a gray blank window with a Terminal in the
window and the Terminal does works, but that's it. The the lack of
content in the display is the same for every FC2 box on the intranet.  

However, I have no problem connecting to a MS Window computer from all
the FC2 boxes on the intranet! I can't seem to find a vnc configuration
file to solve this problem.

The relevant System spec. are: 512 DDR RAM, AMD Athlon CPU 1921MHz, Core
2 OS and most of the Display cards have 64 MB of RAM.

I would much appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
