How does one keep vnc server running as a service all the time?

Hi VNC experts:
I'm stumped again.
I am trying to run VNC server as a service on my XP Home machine. I have 3
users defined on the machine. All users have administrative rights.
I want the VNC server to run all the time, everytime. I want it available
whether any user is logged in, or not. [That is the point of running it as a
service. Isn't it? ]
So I installed it as a service according to the instructions at
http://www.realvnc.com/winvnc.html#2
The problem is that it runs at first, but then when I turn off the machine,
and restart it, the service does not work, even though it is still listed
under Control Panel Services applet as 'started' and 'automatic'.
Now, if I stop the service, and restart it, it works again after I logoff
and re-logon, and it stays running until the machine is turned off.
For quick tests of whether the service is running properly, I use
www.gotomyvnc.com . The presense of the vnc icon in the tray is also an
indicator (but not a full proof one) that the service is running as it
should.
The QUESTION:
How do I get the vnc service to start up running from the getgo, reliably,
and avoid the stop-restart-logoff-logon process every time.
Help and handholding would be appreciated.
