    You're welcome.  BTW, since someone else set up the VNC, make sure the
server is running as a service but not as an application.  Sometimes this
little difference would take you long time to find out why something's not
working as it seems.

	The DG834 only provides port forwarding,  but thanks for the second clue, as
someone else set up the VNC servers so I'll have to check the display nos.
Also the router uses a fixed IP, so I know exactly what it is.

		In your DG834, are you using simple port forwarding or port translation?
(correct me if I'm wrong) the former means an incoming port, say 1234, is
redirected to the same port 1234 to the destination machine.  The latter (I
think it's also called port mapping) means you could redirect an incoming port
to another port number, eg, port 1234 to translated to port 5678.  Some
routers only provide the former but not the latter.

		OTOH, if you're using the former, make sure your VNC are listening to the
corresponding port, ie 192.168.0.133 is using display 1 and 192.168.0.134 is
using display 2.

		To know the public IP address, you could go to this URL which, in the same
time, could help you check if your config is correct.

		We have 2 workstations - IP Address 192.168.0.133 and ...134 - running
RealVNC
		server which require to be remotely managed.  They connect to the Internet
via
		a Netgear DG834 DSL hub/router/firewall.  This also acts as a DHCP server
for
		NAT.



		On the DG834, I have created two custom services - VNC1 port 5901 and VNC2
		port 5902 - type TCP/UDP directed to IP's 192.168.0.133 and 192.168.0.134
		respectively.



		I have also followed the FAQ ( http://www.realvnc.com/faq.html#firewall )
for
		the VNC server setup.



		The problem is when I try to connect remotely to 62.xxx.xxx.xxx:port from
the
		internet I am unable to access either pc.  I get 'failed to connect to
		server'.  Have I missed something, or are there special considerations
		regarding this type of router?



		Any help would be greatly appreciated.
