i can not access the server (linux woody ) by using viewer
under windows 2000 !!help

Have you realy scanned the FAQ and/or archives of this maillist?
In short:
See the faq on 'gray' (or 'grey')
Install the vnc packages from the distribution, not from a general download
debian woody: run `vncpasswd.real` once
alternate setup: http://www.sourcecodecorner.com/articles/vnc/linux.
