Can we connect to systems over Internet

Respected Sir,

Can we connect to two system over Internet. Say one system is at "Bagalkot"
running with the VNC server service program and is connected to Internet and
there is another system at "Bangalore" running with the VNC viewer. How will
I connect to the system situated at Bagalkot connected to Internet.

Please let me know if it is possible...
