Livio, "Unable to set sockopt TCP_NODELAY" indicates that you are running Service Pack 6. Service Pack 6 had broken networking which caused many networked applications to fail. The fix is to download a fresh copy of Service Pack 6a from Microsoft and to install that. VNC 4b4 will run happily against Service Pack 6a. Cheers, Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
