Dos screen on service startup

Hi all
Iv been using VNC for a while now and I have just changed to version 4.
When I restarted my computer I noticed that VNC comes up with a type of DOS
box when the service is starting. But in the registry for VNC to start up
as a service it has to switches '-noconsole' & '-service'. I would have
thought that the Noconsole switch would have stoped this DOS type box
appearing. Can anyone put some light on why tis is happening.
Oh yeah, this is happening on a windows 98 computer.
