virtual desktops

   Hello,
      Someone suggested to me to try VCN to do the remote desktop
   options I am trying to do.  What I would like to do is allow someone
   to "log on" to my computer, but I don't want them to have control of
   the same desktop I am seeing/using.  I had seen software years ago
   that was used that was designed when a person connected remotely, it
   would create a "new" desktop, and alow the user to log onto that.  In
   a sence then 2 people could be "logged on" at the same time.  One
   physically on the computer, and one through the network, and each
   running different apps, and access different files.  Could anyone
   tell me if this software could do anything like that.  Please let me
   know.
