Oh, I didn't pay attention you're talking about Java viewer.
Yes, Tab keys are "swallowed" in Java viewer. Not that they disappear in the nature, but they are used to switch between those four buttons (Disconnect, Options, Clipboard, Send Ctrl+Alt+Del) on top of the the viewer. I don't know if this is intentional.
