VNC problem

Hello,

My problem. I run Windows 2000, laptop is on windows ME. I run the viewer
and can see the laptop screen perfectly. I cannot move his mouse or in any
way open his files or anything. Where the mouse pointer should be is a black
square.

I have tried this on other laptops with no problem. Just this one. Is this a
firewall issue. What can I do to get mouse and keyboard control. What
doesn't make sense is that I can see their desktop, it all works perfect.
Just no control at all.
