We want to install a VNC system for our school :)
But there are different VNC softwares: which is the best for our use?
What we would like to do:
1/ We would like to allow at Teachers to watch and to access to the Students' Computers, freely (without require the authorization of Students).
Thus, we thought to install firstly RealVNC Server (as NT Service) on Students' Comptuters and the RealVNC Viewer on the Teachers' Computers... because we've read that is possible to add "AllowShutdown" and "AllowProperties" inside the Register:
With the "0" value for these keys, we forbidden to Students to make changes and to stop RealVNC Server (but they stay able to kill the Client and to close the connexion!)
Is it always ok with the RealVNC 4.0?
What do you think about that?
2/ We would like to allow Teachers to show their screens to Students.
Too, we would like to allow Teachers to share their computers with Students (to allow Students to make some test on the Teachers' computers, (under the Teacher presence and his authority).
Thus, we thought to install secondly UltraVNV Server on Teachers' computers and UltraVNV Viewer on Students' computers.
UltraVNV has some good options for this use, like "Viewer Toolbar" and "NT Domain and Active Directory based security".
Do you think that is a judicious choice?
3/ We would like to make Teachers/Students VNC communications under Internet (long distances).
Which is the best VNC software for communications under Internet?
THANKS A LOT for your help :)
