Vncconfig a little too tucked away?

I recently upgraded from version 3.3 to 4.0, and it took me a while to 
figure out that, on Solaris, vncconfig has to be left running for clipboard 
operations to work.  There seems to be minimal documentation about this 
utility, so am I one of the few who had an issue figuring this out, or have 
a lot of people had this problem?  If the latter, then perhaps there should 
be a more clear indication of what needs to be done in the release notes or 
some more obvious documentation.
