I don't know if this exactly answers your question, but have you
heard of "Kaboodle";
'http://www.kaboodle.org'?
Although I'm just about to install it myself, I know its an Open
Source remote administration package, which combines a WXWidgets (mostly
SEC508 compatible) multi-platform user interface, Fastpush, Zebedee, VNC, etc.
