That sound similar to what I reported here:
http://www.realvnc.com/pipermail/vnc-list/2004-June/045853.html . If you
lock and unlock the host through VNC, does it correct itself? I've yet to
hear anything back on my original report, but it's 100% reproducible with a
3.3.7 or 4.0 vncviewer on a 4.0 vncserver.
