Controlling XP PC from Win 98 PC

	By "P2P cable", I think you mean twisted pair cable.  It should then be supposed that your TCP/IP parameters are set correctly, right?

	Have you tried ping from your 98 to your XP and what results?  If you're hostname, try using IP address.
