SelectObject to CompatibleDC failed: The operation completed successfully. (0)

   In regards to these two threads:

   I also  confirm  that  once  Remote  Desktop  is  used to connect to a
   machine,  attempts  at  VNC  connection  yields  the  following error:
   "SelectObject   to   CompatibleDC   failed:  The  operation  completed
   successfully.   (0)"    This  was  with  VNC  4.1.1  to  a  Widnows XP
   SP1 machine from a Windows XP SP2 machine.
   My  temporary  workaround  is  to  reboot  the  server  machine.  Upon
   restart, I can make VNC connection until I again use Remote Desktop.

   Wez indicated that "a fix is in development for this" on Oct 21:

   Any news  of  such fix or more elegant workaround than rebooting would
   be appreciated.
