Dual Monitor extended desktop

I am running winowsXP with two monitors.  I have my desktop extended
across both monitors.  I have a vnc server running on a remote HP-UX
system with a session geomitry of 2560X1024 which should fully utilize
both of my windows monitors, each of which is set to 1280X1024.  However
when I select the full-screen option, the display only appears on the
primary windows monitor.  Does anyone know how to cause the full screen
mode to take over the full (extended) windows desktop instead of just
the primary monitor.  I have searched the lists, but can't find a post
with this particular problem.
