OleMainThreadWndName error

John,

Do you see this problem only when the VNC server is in use during a reboot,
or whenever it is running? When you tried VNC 4, had you previously
disabled or removed VNC 3 to ensure that you weren't accidentally still
connecting into the old server?

The old VNC 3.3 system used a deferred update mechanism that interacted
badly with COM/OLE programs because the core of COM/OLE makes some
assumptions that aren't valid regarding message queues. VNC 4 doesn't use
this mechanism at all, so I'm surprised that it causes the same behaviour.

Regards,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
