Configuring realVNC w/ linksys router

   I  need help configuring realVNC with a linksys wireless/wired router.
   My server computer is connected through this router and I am trying to
   connect  to  it  from  my  laptop  through  the internet from wireless
   hotspots  throughout  my  city.  I  believe  I  need to configure port
   forwarding  in  order  for this to work, but I am unfamiliar with this
   procedure. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
