Backingstore not working in V4.

Dear VNCusers

Perhaps someone can help me. I recently upgraded from RH7.3 to Fedora Core
I and hence got a new version of VNC (vnc-4.0-0.beta4.3 according to rpm).

I have several applications that seem to need BackingStore ON - if not,
the graphics get erased once another window is on top. I manually set this
to on in the XFree86 config file for the normal X server.

It also used to work fine in VNC but no longer. I noticed that Backing
Store and and Save under were OFF by default and by adding the +bs store
option in the vncserver script, both set to ON. See the output to xdpyinfo
attached below. However, backingstore still does not work.

I am using viewers from win2000, but they havent changed.

Any ideas ? Is this a bug or a new 'feature' in v4 ?
