Newbie with a shared library problem on Debian.

Any attempt to run VNCPASSWD results in this:
./vncpasswd: error while loading shared libraries:
libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory

I am fairly new at Linux so I don't know how to fix
this problem, and don't have the experience to know
where to begin to figure out.
