Anyone ever tried (successfully?) VNC over a wireless modem (dialup
TCPIP) connection?

Subject: No remote screen over wireless serial modem
Maybe anyone knows how to work around this:
We established a dial-up/direct connection between 2 distant WinXP
systems via RF modem (wireless serial link with 38400 baud).
TCP/IP commands and file-transfer are working, but we can't get remote
screen conterol running.
Neither WinXP remote desktop, nor pcAnywhere, nor remoteAnything, nor
VNC.
With VNC we get a least sometimes a few flicks of screen background
transferred, before it hangs, but that's all.
After contacting the modem manufacturer, we received their suggestion,
that this is a problem of "RX TX turnaround time of the modem being
incompatible with the application".
Does anyone know what this means / how this can influence the link of a
remote control sw? Shouldn't this be transparent as long as one uses an
IP connection? Some way to overcome this problem with VNC settings?
Any hint appreciated!
