VNCVIEWER

I have setup VNCLIENT on a laptop with the viewer running as a thin client
on a server, the VNC is setup on the server and on the client @ 1024x768 the
whole system works except for the slider bars on the right hand side and the
bottom of the screen !

Any clues as to why I should get these ? and how do I get rid of it.
