Michael, The behaviour you describe suggests that the Windows keyboard layout differs between the VNC Server and the application you are using. Windows allows each window to have a different keyboard layout, which makes it easy to get into a mess if you accidentally change the layout of one of them. Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
