vnc windows xp connection issues

	Firewall does matter.  Since you're using WinXP, there's an integrated firewall.  Open Service console and make sure ICS/IFS is stopped.

	In your compA, type in this command and see if port 5900 is open properly and in listening state:
netstat -n -a -p tcp
