Michael,

There is no known problem with use of Visual Studio and VNC on the same
machine.  The only possibly interaction is to do with Visual C runtime DLL
versions.  VNC 3.3.4-3.3.7 use a runtime DLL stored in the VNC installation
directory, though, so this should not be a problem.

If you continue to encounter problems then you might wish to try VNC 4,
which isn't dependent upon a VC runtime DLL.
