Service doesn't start properly on boot under XP

Hello...

After searching through the archives, I've seen this mentioned before,
but never with a remedy. It seems that under WinXP, the VNC service
never properly starts unless you first log the machine in locally. This
is a real problem if you reboot the computer remotely, as you need
someone to log in before the VNC service works properly.

It seems as though the service starts, as once I reboot it asks me for a
password. However, after sending the correct password, nothing happens.
The window goes away. Another attempt yields the same result.

Does anyone know any way around this?
